  • Prepare for an inspection.  
  • Communicate code requirements as it relates to commercial building inspections.  
  • Describe types of construction, occupancy classifications, building materials, and where to locate information in the 2021 IBC.  
  • Explain the means of egress requirements as they relate to commercial building inspections.  
  • Identify the fire protection aspects of a commercial building inspection. 
  • Communicate scoping requirements for accessible design for buildings, structures and the site on which they are located.  
  • Describe the following topics as they pertain to performing a commercial building inspection: general administration, building planning, footings and foundations, floor construction, wall construction and, roof/ceiling, public safety and special construction.
