This course will identify important changes in the IBC from 2018 to 2021 edition. Participants will be presented with those changes that will most impact their use of the code when they apply the 2021 IBC. The learner will receive an overview of the most important code changes.

  • Discuss new and modified occupancy classifications and requirements based on the specified use of the new occupancies to promote public safety.

  • Identify new requirements for door locks, latches and sprinklers within the 2021 IBC.
