AC375 (24) establishes guidelines for evaluation of wood-burning fireplace units and gas-fired fireplaces that are constructed in the field using prefabricated blocks that are produced from either reinforced precast lightweight concrete masonry or refractory masonry, and that are assembled using grout and mortar specified by the manufacturer.
