AC462 establishes guidelines for the evaluation of the reuse of shipping containers as a source of building materials. The intent is to evaluate the quality control cedures used to establish and verify the dimension, chemical and physical properties of the steel components of the containers, and to evaluate the steel components for design in accordance with the provisions of the IBC.
