• Explain the most relevant backflow regulations in Texas. 
• Describe the most common methods  & procedures for testing backflow devices. 
• Identify the most common testing equipment variations.

Course Objectives - Troubleshooting and Repair

• Explain the basic requirements of backflow assemblies. 
• Demonstrate the specific steps and practices for troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of various assemblies.  
• Demonstrate how to return assemblies back to manufacture specifications with proper parts/kits.  
• Explain the USC Manual (10th ed) field test procedures. 

Course Objectives - Practical Skills Refresher

• Explain the most relevant terms related to backflow. 
• Describe common backflow control testing procedures. 
• Identify the most common backflow issues likely to be encountered. 
• Demonstrate the ability to test common backflow devices.
