This recorded webinar series will provide an overview of the basic principles of IMC Design, Installation and Inspection. Participants will be better able to understand and apply concepts required to safely and efficiently design, install and inspect mechanical systems in accordance with the 2015 International Mechanical Code. This particular webinar will give an overview of Chapters Seven, Eight and Nine of the International Mechanical Code. Participants will have a better understanding of the design, installation and inspection principles of combustion air, chimneys and vents and specific appliances, fireplaces and solid fuel burning equipment in accordance with the International Mechanical Code.

Objectives
  • Identify and properly use key mechanical code terms and concepts of combustion air and venting with regard to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of people in the built environment during the review of the design, the assessment of the installation and during all inspections of the structure.
  • Apply mechanical code concepts and required IMC provisions to review the design of the mechanical system to ensure the health, safety and welfare of people in the built environment.
  • Determine appropriate mechanical code requirements of combustion air and venting for proper installation of mechanical systems so that the interior environment is safe and complies with the mechanical code.
  • Perform a mechanical systems inspection of combustion air and venting in accordance with the 2015 International Mechanical Code to ensure the health, safety and welfare of people in the built environment.
